Steve Airth is the lead pastor at GracePoint. Steve is passionate about teaching and sharing the good news of Jesus, and seeing people experience changed lives. His desire is to see people in the way that God does and then have people see themselves that way too. Steve was not raised in the church and he uses that perspective to view being a Christian and reading the Bible in a fresh way. Steve holds a Masters of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary.
He has a slight addiction to Starbucks upside down Caramel Macchiatos and Dr. Pepper. He loves dating his wife, Nicole. He also loves traveling the world and watching Manchester United and the Angels. Steve and Nicole have four children – Isaiah, Luke, Andrew, and Abigail.

What you like to do in your free time
I love to go and see and experience things. Seeing a rare exhibit, eating at a hole in the wall, climbing a peak, finishing a race. However I don’t have much free time, so I would like more of it.
Jeff Keneaster leads the worship team for GracePoint. He was on the original launch team for the church where he got his start working with the youth and playing drums and guitar for worship. He believes that worship can be both enjoyable and God honoring, and that worship through song is a great way for expressing our love for God. He works in the hospitality industry, but enjoys spending most of his time with friends and family. He is happily married to Carrie and has a little dog named Charlie.

Carrie Keneaster is the Activities Director for GracePoint. It was her love of planning and organizing that made her decide to major in Hospitality Management at Cal Poly Pomona and she graduated in 2010. Carrie has been working in the wedding industry for almost four years now. She now gets to take her passion of planning and combine it with her passion of serving her church and community. Carrie is married to Jeff Keneaster and enjoys going out to eat together. She also enjoys playing with their dog, Charlie.

Cathy is also a member of the worship team. She and her husband Rod have two adult children; Jeremy and Megan. Cathy is a graduate of Messiah College with a degree in education. She enjoys quilting, reading and cooking. Cathy and Rod also have the gift of “party”, and love hosting dinners and parties in their home.

She believes this is a time in our life when character is developed and where our faith meets real life. Nicki is also our Pastor’s wife or call her ‘first lady’ if you want to see her smile. Nicki is a person who is real and you always can trust that she is going to tell you the truth.
She is also a loving mom of 4 kids: Isaiah, Luke, Drew, and Abbie. She is a preschool teacher in Upland. She shares some of the same passions as her husband, namely a Starbucks addiction and doing anything with her family.

Heather Cardenas grew up in Southern California. She has 2 older sisters, and her parent have been working for a mission called Global Recordings for over 50 years. She met her husband, Carlos Cardenas, at In-N-Out where they both worked, and now they have 2 young boys. She spends her day staying home with her boys and watching a couple other children. Heather is currently a co-leader for home church with Carlos and a co-leader for college group with Nicki Airth. She is passionate about home church because it is a great environment where everyone can use their spiritual gift, and to raise up leaders.

Jake Knight is the Director of Student Ministries for Gracepoint and feels that the youth are not “the leaders of tomorrow” but the leaders of today and believes that the Lord can use anyone at any age or point in their lives to effect change for Christ. Jake is in his final year of his bachelor’s degree in History at Cal State Los Angeles and is looking forward to start a career in teaching. Jake enjoys spending time with his wife Melissa as well as friends and family. Along with school, Jake works at the Trader Joe’s in Claremont and loves watching and playing different sports.

Michelle Jeffers is a youth leader for the Jr. High and High School students at GracePoint. She believes that the teenage years are a crucial time for developing a person relationship with Christ and learning to apply Biblical teaching to real situations. She likes getting to know the youth and helping them figure out God’s plan for their lives. Michelle also helps co-lead a home-church and organizes worship for the children on Sunday mornings. She majored in Liberal Studies at Cal State Fullerton in 2008 and has her teaching credential. She is married to her high-school sweetheart, Nathan Jeffers.

Joel Jeffers oversees the Technical and Media Arts areas at GracePoint. He believes the Technical Ministry needs to add to the worship service without drawing attention to the technical aspects. He enjoys working with Media Arts as he helps organize and design flyers, bulletins, and the website. He is passionate about introducing people to Jesus! Joel is married to Kaylene, and they have 3 children – Nate, Rachel and Aaron.

Carlos works in Orange County for a national environmental company that works with compliance and construction of Underground/Aboveground Fuel Storage Tanks. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, with a minor in Statistics and Accounting from Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania. Carlos is currently taking classes through the Brethren in Christ Direct Study Program. Currently Carlos is involved with our Tech Team and he and his wife both help lead a home church. Carlos has a passion for building relationships and community through small group meetings.

Alex Garcia is on the technical ministry for gracepoint. He likes to be hands on and enjoys working with the sound board; he feels that he is helping by sharing god’s word by adjusting the sound. Alex went to UEI (Universal Education Institute) in 2009 to become a PC technician. Alex enjoys going to Gracepoint events with his wife Erica and their son Zander. Alex loves to listen to Fireflight and other Christian bands on his IPod, and enjoys going to Christian concerts and listen to god’s word through his mentors. Alex believes that no one is perfect but we overcome are imperfections through Jesus.

Nathan Jeffers is the Media Arts Director at GracePoint. He grew up learning how to edit in the church since he was in Jr. High. He believes that images have a powerful way of connecting with people on a deep level. Nathan thinks Christian media shouldn’t be boring or lame and is excited to be part of a church that takes media arts seriously. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Film Production from Biola University. Nathan is married to Michelle Jeffers and they run a media business as a husband and wife team.
