What We Believe

believe-header
We believe in one God that eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God. God is the creator and sustainer of the universe and He loves the whole world.

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus became man, lived a sinless life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He then ascended into heaven, where He is our High Priest and carries out the ministry of advocate and intercessor on our behalf.

We believe The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God. The Spirit enlightens the minds of sinners, awakens them to their need of a Savior and regenerates them. The Spirit is present in the world and lives in every believer and becomes the source of assurance, strength, and wisdom and uniquely endows each believer with gifts for ministry. The Spirit guides believers in understanding and applying the Scripture and is also present in the corporate life of the church, inspiring unity, worship and service.

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God and as believers it is the final authority for our faith and conduct. The Scriptures are God’s message, written by people, as inspired by the Holy Spirit.

We believe salvation is a gift from God to man. We believe God desires all to be saved. Salvation is given by the grace of God through our faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Mankind can never make up for sin by self-improvement or good deeds. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ’s offer of forgiveness can we be saved from the penalty of sin.
