Worship, September 5th

September 2, 2010

Then Jesus said to his host, “When you give a luncheon or dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers or relatives, or your rich neighbors; if you do, they may invite you back and so you will be repaid. But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.” Luke 14:12-14

We are called to be hosts and to invite others to The Table. Jesus challenges us to not only invite those closest to us, but also those on the outside who may not be as easy to include. We need to always remember that God’s Kingdom is open to anyone and everyone who will except the invitation. Come and See as we continue our series on fellowship.

Worship, August 29th

August 27, 2010

We’ve all been taught that sin separates us from God. But we don’t usually think too much about how sin also separates us from other people. As we continue our series on Fellowship, we will be focusing in on some things to avoid that can become pitfalls in our bond with others. Our mission at Grace Point is to be a church where we are always Moving Forward Together. Fellowship is a critical piece to that mission. Come and See!

Below are the songs that we will be singing this week for worship:

Worship, August 22nd

August 19, 2010

In the Church we are often reminded to set our lives on track with God and to then bring others to know Him. And those things are very important. But sometimes the problem becomes that we neglect the people in between. We sometimes overlook the relationships that are already in our lives. We are continuing our “Fellowship: Gather ‘round” series at Grace Point. This week we will be talking about “Fellowship Fitness” and some things that we need to consider in order to strengthen our existing relationships. Come and See!

If you read the blog below, then you are aware that we are beginning a new series at Grace Point. “Welcome to the Fellowship” is the topic this Sunday. If you are a nerd like me then you might have had an image of Lord of the Rings pop into your head. I don’t think that Pastor Steve is going to be addressing the movie, but he is going to be introducing us to what this idea of “fellowship” is really about. Everyone is invited. You don’t want to miss this! Come and See!

Worship, July 25th

We are starting our “High Seas” series this week at Grace Point, which should be a lot of fun. The series is going to take us along one of the last stretches of the Apostle Paul’s journey in the book of Acts. This Sunday the focus is on storms and keeping our course while in them. We will be talking a lot about faith and breaking down some myths about what it means to follow Christ. Come and See!

Below are the songs that we will be singing during the worship service this Sunday:
