GPY Christmas Party

This week GPY had its annual Christmas Party.  The party was a fun time, sharing the true meaning of Christmas together, as well as experiencing our personalities coming together in the ever foreboding “White Elephant Gift Exchange.”

The evening began with worship in the form of Christmas Carols, led by our own worship leader, Jeff.  He was able to set the tone for worshipping God by leading us through carols such as “Go Tell it on the Mountain,” and “O Holy Night.”

After worship we discussed the meaning of Christmas, and the excitement of worshipping a God who chose to step into our existence and live a life like us – so that we may be reconnected to Him.

The night ended with a rousing version of the “White Elephant Gift Exchange,” where gifts took the form of Tiaras, Fairy Dolls, Turkey Hats, Lightsabers, and unused film.

Although the Christmas party is over, GPY will continue to worship Jesus all throughout the year, and continue to enjoy the time spent together as we have many new and exciting events planned for the New Year!  Finally, I would like to say on behalf of GPY, Merry Christmas! -  Jacob

GPY Halloween Bash

 With Halloween on the rise, it was decided that we should hold a little party for the students at GracePoint Youth (GPY).  We had a great time.  There were games, worship and a message.

The games were tons of fun!  From Bobbing for Apples, to Pumpkin Bowling, to Eating Donuts off a string as fast as you can, there was lots of good fun going on.

We used some of our own GracePoint Worship Team to put together a live band to play some worship.

There was also a message to the students about Jesus.  The message was short, and yet, some great things happened as some students raised their hands in wanting to know more about Jesus, as well as those who raised their hands in wanting to come back to a relationship with Jesus.

We ended with prizes, food, sodas and a chance to hang out.

Although we do not have parties like this every week, we are here Every Wednesday Night from 6:30-7:45.  We love hanging out with all students 6th – 12th Grade.  We are, however, always having a good time, and worshipping Jesus.
