Read James 1:19-27
-Why do you think we struggle so much with listening? Are we afraid of what we will hear? Do you know any good listeners? What makes them good?
-Think through things you have said to others. Think of the biggest blunders. Do you think speaking slower or listening better could have helped to avoid the situation?
-Why do you think James put anger and poor listening skills together?
-James seems to make a connection between sinning, poor listening and anger; do you think there is a connection? Can one lead to the other?
-Read v.23-24 again, what do you think the mirror image means?
