Serving Others

GracePoint is a church committed to thinking about those not only in our walls, but outside them too. We believe in showing and telling the good news of Jesus and sometimes that is feeding a person who is hungry and other times it is adopting children in Africa.

We have a box in the back of the church; we call the ‘Joy Fund’. We believe that every dollar that goes into it should make a joyful noise to someone else outside our church. We have used these funds to buy Christmas gifts for families at a women’s shelter in Upland, sponsor micro finance through Hope International, children affected by HIV/AIDS in Malawi, our local food bank, books for our school library, and so on.  We work at also giving our time to these places as well as our finances.

We go to Baja each year and build homes for those in need, we send out short term missionaries for projects all throughout the world, and we intentionally try to do things to both bless our local community and the global one. The Church is not a building.   It is the group of believers throughout the world, doing the will of God. For us at GracePoint, actions speak just as loud as words – and often times, louder. Jesus said that what we do for the least, the lost and the left out (paraphrase) we do for Him.
