Why do we put on masks? What are we afraid of?

Rejection, the Truth, actually being accepted for who we are?

God knows the true you already and loves you anyway. Isn’t it time to give others a try or maybe even yourself. During this series our goal is to remove the many masks we wear and talk about why we wear them. We want to explore the ways in which the church could become better supporters of those who remove their masks. Some wear masks because of something in their past like: abuse, addiction, or embarrassment. Others wear masks because they are afraid people won’t like the real them. The scriptures say that God has one true name for us, a true existence that was meant for us, the one we were supposed to be living.  Masks hide us from the truth. It’s time to drop them.
