Worship, May 9th

Jesus loved his mom. Even as he was facing death on the cross he made sure that she was in good hands. John 19:26-27 says “When Jesus saw his mother there and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, ‘Dear woman, here is your son,’ and to the disciple, ‘Here is your mother.’ From that time on, this disciple took her into his home.” As Christians we should imitate Jesus and his disciple in our love for our moms. This week is the perfect week to start doing that! Sunday is Mother’s Day, a beautiful day set aside to honor the women in our lives who have raised us up with love. We are going to take a fresh look at an overly criticized passage of scripture that just might have a thing or two to do about moms. Come and See!
